Purpose & Values

The Validium Group's purpose is to be recognised as the leading, most respected supplier in its industry, to be a great place to work in, to be great to do business with and to perform a valuable role in society.

Our values can be focused into four main areas: Quality, Value, Service, Integrity.

Quality

Achieving true quality in everything we do is a goal for the entire company.  The Validium team is encouraged to look for improvements to systems, procedures and working practices that can have an impact on the way the Validium service is delivered to the customer.  The principles embodied within ISO9001:2000 and the Investors in People standard are embraced by the strong commitment to a path of continuous improvement.  In fact, Validium is believed to have been the first EAP in the world to achieve the BS EN ISO9001 standard. Validium colleagues are highly skilled, enthusiastic, energetic, tenacious and committed.  They are encouraged to be open about what they discover and learn - in this way the whole team benefits.  Performance is measured, problems corrected and best practices developed that are then communicated throughout the company.  Performance feedback mechanisms are in place and essential in ensuring we keep on a track towards operational excellence.

Value

The delivery of excellent value is a cornerstone of the business - value that achieves a balance between price, performance and the delivery of an innovative business model. Selecting Validium will seldom be the cheapest option, but it will deliver outstanding value for money – the old saying, "Nobody ever regretted buying quality", is still true today.

Service

Validium colleagues will always go 'that extra mile' to deliver the highest standards of service to customers and work closely with them to build long-term partnerships. Service is a fundamental principle of the company's ethos and is the subject of an ongoing dialogue within our organisation through our interactive, energised and open style. All at Validium enjoy membership of a working team in which everyone is encouraged to develop their skills and professional competencies to the highest degree and ensuring that the delivery of customer service continues to be at the unique high level required to further grow the business.

Integrity

The maintenance of corporate integrity is also a key attribute. Early in the company's development, it became the first non-manufacturing company in the world (and, jointly, the first organisation of any type in the UK) to achieve accreditation to the SA8000 Social Accountability standard. This demonstrates an assurance that our externally audited systems and principles will satisfy the ethical requirements of the most demanding purchasing organisation. The business will continue to be managed in a way that provides employment in an enjoyable and safe working environment and that gives employees the opportunities to develop and progress. Furthermore, the company aims to influence the direction of the Employee Assistance Programmes (EAP) industry in general, while taking any opportunity to enhance the reputation of Validium and EAP in the wider context.
