Validium Spearheads Scottish Growth

Validium, one of the UK's specialist human resource companies, has appointed Rachel Clark to spearhead the company's growth in Scotland.

The company, which specialises in providing employee assistance and other support programmes, is headquartered in Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire, and located its specialist telephone counselling and helpline centre in Glasgow earlier this year.

With 27 years experience of the public sector, Rachel was formerly a Senior Client Executive at Scottish Enterprise Glasgow on secondment from Glasgow City Council - working in the joint venture Business Location Service. Rachel was responsible for businesses locating to the city and delivering an aftercare strategy.

In her role at Validium Rachel will be responsible for account managing and growing the company's client base in Scotland and the North of England as well as developing HR services.

"Employee assistance programmes are a growing service in Scotland and are being embraced by companies seeking to take responsibility for the welfare of their staff. As well as providing telephone counselling and helpline services we undertake face to face counselling and a range of additional organisational services like mediation and return to work programmes.

"Rachel is a familiar face within the public sector and has an established track record in service delivery on behalf of leading UK blue chip clients. We're delighted that she has joined the company", said Mike Shaw, Managing Director, Validium.
