The Human Resources Forum 11-14 May 2005
The Human Resources Forum will take place for the tenth consecutive year on Aurora , from 11-14 May 2005. Around 400 of the UK 's top HR Directors gather on board the P&O ship Aurora to attend a strategic conference programme, meet key suppliers of HR products and services and network with their peers. All attendees at the forum participate in three nights and two days of one-to-one business meetings, a strategic conference programme aimed at the most senior level, and an unrivalled opportunity to network with fellow professionals. The key reasons for delegates to attend are to benchmark current thinking, learn new tools, explore the current marketplace to find out what the best suppliers are offering, and network and share thinking with peers.
The Human Resources Forum conference programme is drafted following an extensive phase of quantitative and qualitative research with key senior HR professionals, supplier companies and other leading experts. The programme aims to reflect the diverse range of sectors and responsibilities of the HR professionals attending the forum. Delegates will be able to select just those issues of most interest to them, spending the rest of their time in pre-scheduled business meetings or networking with peers.
The conference chairman is Declan Curry, the Business Presenter for Breakfast on BBC One and BBC News 24. He reports each morning from the studios of the London Stock Exchange, covering business, the economy, the workplace and personal finance. He interviews chief executives, trade union leaders, stock market watchers and economists, along with individual workers and investors. The opening address will be made by Hans Blix, Former UN Weapons Inspector and Chairman of the International Commission on Weapons of Mass Destruction, and Stephen Covey (of ‘7 Habits’ fame) will be making a keynote speech – ‘The 8th Habit: From Effectiveness to Greatness’.
