Who cares for the carers?

5th February 2019, Carers UK have released a new report on “Juggling work and unpaid care” One of the report’s key findings is that more than 600 people quit work to look after older and disabled relatives every day. The number of those juggling work and care appears to be far higher than previously thought – around 4.87 million (compared with 3 million in the Census 2011). Is there more that the work place can do to support working carers to stay in employment?
